Product Overview

Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies Wi-Fi installation by transmitting power over the same data cable that connects to the Wi-Fi access point. The HPE Networking Instant On PoE Midspan (PoE Injector) adds PoE capability to an existing non-PoE wired connection. Use this injector with Instant On AP11, AP11D, AP12, AP15, AP17, and AP22 access points when you want to utilize PoE but are using non-PoE switches. One PoE injector supports one access point. It provides Type 3 PoE power over Ethernet cables and complies with the IEEE 802.3af standard, delivering up to 15.4W from the injector.

Key Features

• Simple Connectivity: An Ethernet cable runs from a non-PoE switch into the injector; a separate Ethernet cable carries PoE power from the injector to the wider network. Typically, the injector is placed near the switch. Power is supplied to the injector via a power cord (ordered separately) that plugs into a local outlet.
• Compatibility: Compatible with Instant On AP11, AP12, AP15, AP21, AP22, and AP27 access points.
• Gigabit Performance: Supports Gigabit connectivity between the switch and the injector, transmitting data at the same Gigabit speed to the remote device.
